DID THE USSR BELONG TO THE AMP STATES?

The questions «Who are we?», «Where are we from and where are we going?» with enviable regularity are heard today from the lips of not only professional scientists, but also popular TV journalists. Without answers to them, it is impossible to solve the problems of typological affiliation of the USSR. «The foremasters of perestroika» left behind only «skinny abstractions» expressed by the abbreviation ABS or ACS. Has the situation in this sphere of knowledge changed significantly in our days? Without pretending to the truth in the last instance, it is necessary to reconsider the main variants of the noted problem, including such exotic, as «Asian» attribution of the USSR. Methods: interpretations, historical, logical, problem-theoretical, comparative, textual. Results: it is necessary to get rid of the old clichés, according to which the prototypes of the leviathan state, with the total power, should be found in the Ancient East, as well as those stereotypes, according to which not only the whole East, but our country also looks like the home of eternal despotism. It is also necessary to overcome mechanistic notions about society, state, law and man.
